Where we are

 

   Giffoni Valle Piana is an ancient town in the province of Salerno and is composed of 13 villages. The climate, generally is mild and it is surrounded by lovely scenery. It borders on Montecorvino Rovella, Montecorvino Pugliano, Acerno, Montella, Serino, Calvanico, Giffoni Sei Casali, S. Cipriano, Pontecagnano, Salerno. This town is situated at about 220 m above sea level and has a population of about 12,000 inhabitants. The town is easily accessible from all nearby town centres, being crossed by three provincial roads; it distants 24 km from Salerno, while the nearest railway station is Pontecagnano, about 12 km. Its’ agricultural activity is very active in the plain for the fertility of the soil,  skill and care with which the farmers do the work in the fields. Over the past year has seen significant urban development, with modernization and construction of habitations. Giffoni is a dynamic country and full of vitality: the population is devoted to  agriculture, but there are small industries of brick, wood processing, mattresses, sweets and small craftsmen who are dedicated to the processing of copper and iron. The site offers numerous advantages, such as silence, peace, the mild climate, clean air, water purity and freshness. Its territory includes the wide variety of environments, range from mountain to hill, from valley to open plains.     Coming from North: Motorway Rome - Caserta (A30) or superhighway Naples - Salerno (A3), Bypass of Salerno Fratte entry, exit Industrial Area, road from Fuorni to Giffoni Valle Piana.
    Coming from the South: take the superhighway Salerno - Reggio Calabria, exit Pontecagnano, road from Fuorni to Giffoni Valle Piana.

By train
The nearest railway station is Salerno, a convenient public service that links up the capital of the province to the town.

By plane
    The nearest airport is the Salerno Costa d'Amalfi (Pontecagnano, 20 km from Giffoni). Naples Capodichino airport is far about 70 km.
